Julio Villarroel became a jewellery maker at a later age. Prior to that, he spent 14 years working in marketing. Born in a popular neighborhood of Caracas (Venezuela), a love story brought him to Paris, the city of lights. It wasn’t until he coincidentally attended a one-day induction course at Van Cleef that he discovered his passion for the art of jewellery and gems. After graduating from Paris’ Haute École de Joaillerie, he launched his first unisex collection « Mundo » which combines his addiction to travel with jewellery. Each creation is associated with a city or a country he has visited. The selection of gemstones is the primary and most important step in his process of creation. He believes the genuine beauty of the stone should speak for itself and his job mostly consists in enhancing it. That’s why he invests a lot of time in choosing the perfect stone to fulfill each of his clients’ expectations. All of his creations are unique and handcrafted by himself in Paris and London.
